Insta360 storms into the drone market with the $960 Antigravity A1, a groundbreaking 249g FPV drone featuring dual 360° 8K lenses that finally brings true panoramic “shoot first, frame later” aerial creativity to everyone.
On December 4, 2025, Insta360 officially launched “Antigravity,” its new drone sub-brand, along with its first model—the Antigravity A1. With a limited-time subsidized starting price of $960, the drone aims to disrupt the current market landscape through its unique 360-degree panoramic imaging system, establishing a fresh path for differentiated competition.
As Insta360’s flagship entry into the drone industry, the Antigravity A1 challenges traditional aerial-photography concepts. It features dual 360° lenses positioned on the top and bottom of the aircraft, enabling 8K panoramic capture. Users can pair the drone with flight goggles equipped with dual 1-inch Micro-OLED displays and a motion-sensing controller. Weighing just 249 grams, the A1 can be flown legally without training in most regions around the world.
A key innovation of the A1 is its “decoupled view and flight direction” system, which provides a fully free 360° viewing perspective. Combined with its “shoot first, frame later” workflow, creators can recover footage from blind spots during post-production—even if the drone loses track of the target mid-flight.
The device blends the dynamic visual style of FPV drones with the stability of traditional camera drones, all while significantly reducing the learning curve. With motion control, advanced subject tracking, eight creative movement modes, and built-in AI editing, beginners can easily produce professional-quality videos. Its immersive piloting experience also positions the A1 not only as a creative tool but as an entertainment-oriented flying gadget.
In competing with industry leaders such as DJI, Insta360 avoids direct battles over specs or price. Instead, it leverages its strength in panoramic technology to address growing consumer demand for easy, visually striking aerial content. Whether the Antigravity A1 can replicate the success of Insta360’s panoramic cameras and open a new chapter for the drone market remains to be seen.
