vivo has opened pre-orders for the S50 series starting at $425, bringing flagship-level performance, periscope telephoto cameras, and premium durability to the mid-to-high-end segment.
December 16, 2025 — vivo has officially opened pre-orders for the S50 series, with general availability set for December 19. The lineup starts at $425 and positions itself as a “telephoto Live photography powerhouse,” combining advanced imaging with near-flagship performance.
The S50 series includes two models: S50 and S50 Pro mini. The S50 comes in four color options—Confession White, Inspiration Purple, Serenity Blue, and Deep Space Black—and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The S50 Pro mini is available in three colors (excluding Serenity Blue) and becomes one of the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, achieving benchmark scores of up to 3.3 million points. Both devices feature an aerospace-grade aluminum metal frame.
On the imaging front, the entire lineup is equipped with an IMX882 periscope telephoto lens, supporting 3× optical zoom and up to 10× hybrid zoom. The S50 Pro mini further upgrades its main camera to Sony’s IMX921 sensor for enhanced image quality.
Battery and feature highlights include a 6,500mAh battery across the series. The S50 Pro mini additionally supports 40W wireless fast charging and reverse wireless charging. Both models come standard with 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition 2.0, 4,320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and IP69 + IP68 dust and water resistance.
