Major Chinese internet companies that have a cloud computing business have placed substantial orders with NVIDIA following this year's Spring Festival.

On Monday, the U.S. government appealed a federal judge’s ruling blocking the administration’s ban on Chinese short video sharing app TikTok.

Since the beginning of this year, micro-lenders under five Chinese internet giants, namely Tencent, ByteDance, Baidu, Meituan and JD.com, have been successfully approved to issue ABSs amounting to 39.33 billion yuan ($5.4 billion).

Rumors that ByteDance is to launch a virtual idol group “Project V” have risen as ByteDance posted multiple job openings related to acting, live streaming, game developing and virtual idol operations.

According to insiders from tech startup Smartisan, some employees have been informed to re-sign their labor contracts with Bytedance, the parent company of Toutiao, which points to that Smartisan is under acquisition negotiations with Bytedance.

On July 2, Chinese tech giants Bytedance invested in Hangzhou Weinian Brand Management Co., Ltd(Weinan), a contracted company of Li Ziqi, one of China's most globally popular online influencers. This move showed Bytedance's ambition to expand its footprint in the booming livestream and new consumption sectors.

ByteDance-owned Douyin Group has adjusted its organizational structure, naming Han Shangyou, the current vice president of Douyin, as the platform's new head, managing several business lines.

Sources close to Douyin e-commerce revealed that in the coming year, the platform's low-price strategy will extend to content scenes, with malls and short videos actively promoting affordable products.

TikTok's Chinese version, Douyin, has decided to adjust its e-commerce business. In the future, Douyin E-Commerce will focus on online shopping malls and brands.

Chinese tech giant ByteDance, owner of TikTok and its Chinese counterpart Douyin, has reportedly invested in autonomous driving startup QCraft Inc.

Douyin has recently suspended the operation of its home decoration business, Zhuhaojia. The company responded by saying that the business will transition to explore a model for ensuring service.
